Following the Prime Minister’s announcement that Covid restrictions are to be relaxed from tomorrow, we feel it is important to let you know what to expect at the surgery.
When you come into the surgery building you will still need to wear a mask. If you do not have one with you, we will provide you with one. This is for 2 reasons. We have a small number of staff who are classed as Clinically Extremely Vulnerable, and we want to provide them with as much protection as we can but still provide you with a good service. There are a lot of people who are still very anxious about Covid for several different reasons, and we do want them to feel that the surgery is still a safe place for them to come so that they will attend for much needed health care.
We know that masks can be irritating, and everyone is fed up with them, but please can we ask you to please bear with us so that we can still welcome those with covid related anxieties into the surgery and so we can protect our clinically extremely vulnerable staff.
Patients who need to see a GP and have symptoms of Covid will still be seen in the ‘Hot Room’.
If you believe you have Covid please do not come into the surgery for any routine appointments.
We are awaiting formal guidance from NHS England but do not expect to receive any for 1-2 weeks.
