We are continuing to work our way through those patients who fall into Cohort 6 which are those under 65yo who have an underlying health condition. The volume of vaccine that we have received in recent weeks has been limited, so the order in which we have invited patients is based on their clinical risk of hospitalisation and the worst outcomes.
There has been a lot of confusion regarding vaccinations for carers:
- Those in receipt of a carer’s allowance who have been identified by the DWP and sent a letter by NHS England are able to book an appointment at one of the MVC’s.
- Those that we are aware of who are unpaid carers and are recorded in our clinical system will be included in Cohort 6. They will be invited in due course as we work through Cohort 6.
- If you are an unpaid carer and think we may not be aware of this, you can email us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we will update your records.
- Please be patient and we will vaccinate you as soon as we can.
We are awaiting confirmation of the delivery dates of second doses due towards the end of March. As soon as we get these we will start booking second dose clinics.
Please do not call the practice to check when you will get the vaccine. We need to keep phone lines open for those patients who are ill and need to talk to a GP.
We will update this information regularly and you can find more information:
